You're really excited to try the lashes but you don't know much about them. These are the top 5 questions new clients ask about lash extensions.
1. Will my natural lashes fall off?
No, they do not. This is the biggest myth about eyelash extensions. They are applied one by one onto your own natural lashes. If applied correctly, the extension sheds naturally with your lashes. Avoid rubbing and pulling on the lash extensions. This will cause them to fall off prematurely and can also damage your natural lash.
2. How long do they last?
Have you ever noticed that random lash lying on your sleeve? This is your natural lash cycle. Lash extensions typically last up to 6 to 8 weeks. Your lashes naturally shed 2 to 3 lashes a day. This is why extensions require fills every 2 to 3 weeks.
3. What type of extensions can I get?
The most common lashes are mink, silk, and faux mink (synthetic) lashes. in length they range from 6mm to 17mm. Each are applied to your individual lash using a semi permanent glue, specifically formulated to use around the eye area.
4. Can I get the lashes wet?
Yes! Shower, swim, splash in the pond ( if that's your thing). After the first 24 hours! Getting them wet too soon can weaken the glue. To have beautiful lashes turn heads when you enter the room it's well worth the wait.
5. Are lash extensions worth it?
If you fancy waking up not having to apply mascara or walking out the door with less eye makeup. Absolutely! If this isn't enough, hey Beyonce and Kim K wears them.
